Who we serve
Recruiting for Facilities Management Firms Running Data Centers
Facilities management and critical environment firms take over the building after turnover and staff it under contract: 24/7 shifts, local hires, and a start date the client sets in the contract. We recruit the operations side for these firms, from the first chief engineer at a new account through the technician shifts that follow, including liquid cooling building engineers for halls with direct-to-chip cooling.
Hiring situations
- A new account starts on a contract date and the site has to be staffed before it.
- The client's halls are liquid cooled and the current team has only run air and chilled water.
- A second site in another metro opens before the first one is fully staffed.
- Technician turnover at a live account has to be filled on a shift schedule.
- A proposal needs local candidate counts and pay before the contract is priced.

FAQ
Questions
- How is hiring for a facilities management firm different from hiring for the operator?
- The dates come from a contract, the seats are local and shift based, and the same role is usually open at several accounts at once. We run one search per role family across your accounts and report by site, so every candidate we screen can be considered for each open account.
- Where do liquid cooling building engineers come from?
- Direct-to-chip cooling is new to most facilities teams, so few candidates have years of it. We screen chiller and HVAC technicians, hospital and pharma plant operators, union pipefitters, Navy nuclear machinist's mates and air-cooled colocation technicians on loop chemistry, filtration and leak response, and tell you what each one still has to learn.
- How hard is it to staff data center operations right now?
- In Uptime Institute's 2025 staffing survey (864 operators and staff, July to September 2025), 37% named hiring as one of their top two challenges, junior facilities staff were in the shortest supply, and junior and mid-level operations roles had the highest turnover, especially at colocation sites.
- Can you staff a site in a metro where we have no team yet?
- Yes. We map the local supply and pay first, then run the search against the contract date. Where the metro is thin, we tell you before you price the contract.
- Do you work on a per-hire fee or a monthly retainer?
- Both. For a single seat, contingency. For a site standup or an account with many seats, a monthly engagement with a reduced per-hire fee and a written weekly report. Pricing is on the homepage.
