| Company | Total | Technician | Engineer | Manager | Construction | Commissioning | Other |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Each company is counted by its own careers site's definition of a data center role. Microsoft, Google and Meta postings that list several states appear in each of them, and Meta and Oracle show only part of some postings' locations, so their state counts are floors. Role types come from words in the job title. Method and every state on the hyperscaler jobs index.
Counting
96 is the number of postings on five careers sites that name a Mississippi location, on one day. It is a floor for hyperscaler hiring in the state and says nothing about colocation operators, facilities management firms, general contractors, MEP contractors or commissioning firms, which between them hire more people for the same sites. A posting can be open for months, and one posting can cover several hires.
